Description

Unlock the power of thermal imaging in the field with the Thermal Master DV2, supplied exclusively by Nightfox in the United Kingdom. 

The Thermal Master produces a superb upscaled resolution of 512*384. It achieves this by combining an advanced image processor chip with a VOx 256*192 thermal sensor, giving the crisp image quality of more expensive thermal imaging at a fraction of the price. 

With a maximum detection range of 1000m and effective target detection at 300m for humans and 400m for vehicles, this camera is perfect for surveying large areas. The 1-4x digital zoom and minimum focus distance of 10cm enable detailed observations. The camera has a viewing angle (FOV) of 18°. 

The DV2 features a vibrant TFT FHD screen (1280x720) and two viewing modes: 'Green Eye' HD mode for detailed observations in cold or dry weather, and 'Orange Eye' Highlight mode for enhanced target detection in hot or wet conditions.

Enjoy 15 hours of video space, thanks to an integrated 32GB memory card and highly efficient .TS video formatting (and .MP4 following WiF-enabled firmware update). The unit can continuously record with the screen folded away, giving around 8 hours of recording on a single charge (or 5-6 hours with the screen on).

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The DV2 saves video footage in 5 minute chunks, using the .TS video file format (similar to MP4). It can record until the unit runs out of battery (up to 8 hours, if not plugged in), or out of space (after about 15 hours).

Thermal sensors are very, very expensive. The Thermal Master DV2 uses a decent 256*192 sensor, but upscales the resolution to 518*384 using an integrated graphics processing unit (GPU). Not only does this save cost, the results are fantastic.

With the screen in use, battery life is 5-6 hours. If you set the camera to record and you fold the screen away, this increases battery life to 8-9 hours. The camera can also be plugged into a USB-C power bank.
