FIRMWARE UPDATES

The Prowl 2 launched in autumn 2025. As yet, there are no firmware updates for the Prowl 2.

Any future firmware updates will be posted on this page when they become available.

Do not use firmware updates for the Prowl 2 on any other device, such as a Prowl or Swift 2: you will cause irreparable damage by doing so.

Frequently Asked Questions

It's possible the battery has insufficient power to maintain operation. Plug the unit in and leave to charge, even if nothing shows on the screen. After an hour has passed, try turning on again. If the Lithium-ion battery is not holding its charge, it may need to be replaced.

It may take up to 4 hours of charging before the Prowl is able to turn on if its battery level has fallen very low. If that doesn't work there is likely to be an issue with the device. Contact us for support.

At every use, adjust the eye relief dioptre and focus wheel to ensure optimum image quality. When using during the day, ensure the IR is set to 'off' (not IR0, which is for night time use).

If 'Disable IR LEDs' has been selected, it will not be possible to increase IR above IR0. Navigate to Settings mode -> IR settings to reactivate the IR LEDs.

If the unit is unresponsive, even after having been left to charge for at least an hour, a hard reset may be needed. Press the reset button, located above the USB-C port.
