Description

New for 2026 – the Nightfox Prowl 2 features an upgraded IMX662 60FPS sensor, detachable wide-angle and fisheye lenses, a screen ON/OFF stowaway sensor, and a sharper LCD with lower latency and increased eye relief. Engineered for fast, clear target ID in high-pressure ops.

CQB ready – 1× magnification with a quick-swap fisheye and wide-angle lens system expands FOV from 55° to 105° in seconds, giving you exceptional situational awareness for close-quarters combat, patrols, training, and rapid room clearance.

Covert IR illumination – The Prowl 2 has IR LEDs for both stealth and longer-range target identification. The 940 nm IR LED gives off virtually no red glow and is ideal for close quarters. On higher power levels, the Prowl 2’s 850 nm IR LED illuminates targets further away, up to 150 yards (140 metres) in pitch black.

Comfort in mind – Universal left/right eye mounting, rotatable eyecup, increased eye relief, and rear dioptre for fast, reliable focus. Use the included head strap or mount the Prowl 2 to your own helmet using the included Dovetail adaptor (G24-style helmet mount required).

What’s included – Prowl 2 night-vision monocular, detachable fisheye and wide-angle lenses, 32 GB memory card for HD video recording, USB-C cable, wrist strap, Dovetail mount adaptor, head mount, airsoft lens protector, carry case, and instruction manual.

Things to know, on the lowest normal 1x setting, its not true 1x, its slightly more zoomed out which gives you better fov but doesnt cowitness with your other open eye which is a bummer compared to the prowl 1 which is be 1 to 1. The latency is MUCH improved from the prowl 1 so thats great. The fisheye also says 198 degrees and the medium lens says wide 120. I will say that the fish eye has an insane fov, you can see an entire room just from one eye. For those confused about the battery, its got a removable rechargable battery that can be charged through the monocular with a type c cable. Its slightly heaver than the prowl 1. The airsoft lens protector also doesnt fit on the wide fov lenses so thats good to know (night fox give us an extended lens protector to accomodate). Just like the prowl one, level 4 and 5 of the ir light is pretty visable when on the recieving end of the nod. All things considered its a great monocular, and the latency alone makes it a superior device to the prowl one, although I will say Im disapointed there isnt a mode that lines up perfectly with normal vision (obviously when in pitch black it doesnt matter anyway). Great device for the price

Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the Prowl 2 can be dual-mounted for twice the fun, and is compatible with the same dual-mounting bridge rail as the original Prowl. Dual-mount two of the same model of Prowl - mixed-mounting of a Prowl with a Prowl 2 is not recommended due to their different FOVs.

Yes. The dual IR system allows the monocular to function in complete darkness. The 940nm mode is stealthy and virtually invisible to the naked eye, while the 850nm mode provides longer-range illumination. Auto-IR ensures optimal brightness based on your environment.

The Prowl 2 is equipped with the upgraded IMX662 sensor, which allows for clear images in low-light conditions. Combined with dual IR illuminators (940nm stealth and 850nm long-range), it performs in total darkness without revealing your position. This sensor upgrade also works with the new TFT LCD screen for sharper, faster visuals.

The Prowl 2 comes with detachable wide angle and fisheye lenses, expanding the field of view from 55° to 105°. Switching lenses takes seconds, allowing users to quickly move from focused observation to wide situational awareness - perfect for airsoft, tactical training, or outdoor adventures.

You can record video. The Prowl 2 has built-in video capture directly to a TF memory card. This feature lets you record tactical missions, training sessions, or wildlife observation. Timestamped recording makes it easy to review footage for after-action analysis.

Absolutely. It has an IP65 water and dust rating, a rainproof USB-C charging port, and a replaceable front lens cap to protect the sensor. Rugged construction ensures it can withstand rough handling, while the removable rechargeable battery allows for extended operations with fast top-ups in the field.

Comfort and adaptability were designed into the Prowl 2. It features a rotatable eye cup, increased eye relief, rear dioptre for quick focusing, and universal left/right mounting options. Head or helmet mounting is simple, making it suitable for extended use in various scenarios.

All accessories which came with your original Prowl can be used with your Prowl 2. You can also buy replacements for these accessories on our website: dovetail mount, eye cup, head mount, mounting pieces and lens protector.
