Nightfox Warranty Policy
Section 1: Enabling Warranty Protection
1.1. When you buy directly from Nightfox, you don't need to worry about registering to benefit from the automatic 2-year Warranty.
1.2. Your Warranty protection begins from the date you make your purchase, and does not affect your statutory rights.
Section 2: What the Warranty covers.
2.1. The Warranty covers only Nightfox products bought from the official Nightfox website (www.nightfoxstore.com), or Amazon marketplaces, with a proof of purchase as outlined in Section 5 of this policy.
2.2. Nightfox Official Refurbished units (available on the website or eBay) are covered by the same Warranty period as new units. From Jan 2025, that is 2 years by default. Before that time, it depends on the product, but is either 18 months or 2 years.
2.3. The Warranty does not cover second-hand products with no proof of original purchase (see Section 5).
2.4. The Warranty covers the following conditions:
- Defects in materials used in manufacture;
- Defects in function under normal use;
- Broken components under normal use.
2.5. These conditions are not covered by the Nightfox Warranty:
- Damage of a device resulting from mishandling or negligence;
- Damage resulting from failure to follow instructions in the user manual;
- Damage caused by unauthorised modification of or attachment to the product;
- Unsuitable physical or operating environment (such as, but not limited to, using non-waterproof products in or near water);
- Damage caused by third-party products used with the Nightfox device;
- Maintenance by anyone other than the Nightfox Refurbishment Team;
- Theft or loss of product.
Section 3: Time periods for Warranty cover.
3.1. Within 30 days of purchase, we can provide:
- A refund when the item is returned to us, or;
- A new device of the same model.
3.2. After the 30-day period, up to 2 years post-purchase, we can provide:
- Spare parts for any broken user-replaceable components, at no cost to the customer;
- Or, paid shipping to return a faulty item to Nightfox HQ to be repaired by our refurbishment Team, and sent back to you;
- Or, if repairs are not possible, we will exchange the faulty item for a new device of the same model, or functional equivalent if that model type is no longer manufactured.
Section 4: Shipping costs and timeframes.
4.1. Replacement individual components will be sent out by Nightfox immediately upon confirmation of purchase and fault.
4.2. Replacement new complete units will only be sent out once the faulty unit has arrived at Nightfox HQ.
4.3. Nightfox pays for the shipping of broken units back to the HQ and for the replacement components or the replacement unit to the customer.
Section 5: Proof of Purchase to use your Warranty.
5.1 Your Proof of Purchase must come from the Nightfox Store Shopify website, one of our Nightfox Amazon stores or the Nightfox eBay store. (Purchases made on social media apps are done through the Nightfox Store Shopify website). Your Proof of Purchase must include a valid Order ID from the relevant platform. If your device was not purchased directly from Nightfox, please approach the vendor directly.
5.2 The order number will look slightly different depending on where you purchase. For example, on our Nightfox website, the order number will look like #NF2-1234, on Amazon #200-123456-123456, on eBay, please provide the name or address information of the order.
5.3. If the product was purchased as a gift, please ask the gifter for a valid order number as described in 5.1
