Introducing the brand new Nightfox Cub, our ground-breaking rechargeable night vision monocular.
This is our second ever monocular - the first being the Nightfox 80R series, launched in 2017 - and we’re super proud of it for a load of reasons.
First, it’s compact enough to fit in a pocket. But despite its small size it boasts a viewing range of 150m, thanks to some decent optics and a 1.5 watt infrared LED (the same power as some of our bigger units, like the Nightfox 110R).
Second, it comes with a 3200mAh 18650 rechargeable battery. This is our first unit to utilise a 18650 battery and it means that, unlike many electronic devices today, the Cub’s lithium battery is super easy to replace in later years to come. Nightfox is committed to making our night vision devices continuously easier to maintain, and this is an important step.
The Cub, just like the Nightfox Swift night vision goggles, is USB rechargeable. This means you can keep it topped up with a USB power bank, normally used to keep your iPhone or Android charged on the go.
To top it all off, the Cub comes with 32GB memory pre-installed, meaning you can start recording video as soon as you take the Cub out of the box.
The Cub was conceived as an idea pre-pandemic, and with many supply chain challenges it’s taken much longer getting it to market than we would’ve liked. But now that it’s here, we hope you consider it worth the wait!
